"The Person You Were Meant to Be" is the eighth episode of the second season of Banshee: Origins and, therefore, the twenty-first episode of the series overall. It first aired on January 9, 2014. The episode was written by Executive Producer Jonathan Tropper and directed by Carey Williams.
Synopsis[]
FIFTEEN YEARS AGO
Carrie is walking around in her old apartment visibly pregnant with Deva as new boyfriend walks in and informs her that he is almost done packing. He then comments that it takes less time than he thought to pack away your whole world and Carrie adds that her world is so small. Gordon asks if she is alright and she just comments that this is a big change and Gordon reassures her that Banshee is a great town and has a good neighborhood for raising children. As they discuss the move she just reassures him that she just hasn't adjusted to her new life yet (husband, baby, and a house in the suburbs). Carrie and Gordon reassure each other and Gordon leaves to get ready for the move. While he is gone Carrie looks at the locket Hood gave her and breaks down in tears as she apologizes for moving on with her life and leaves the locket on the table. But she decides to lick it back up.
